Meet the team prepared to set sail From Galle to the Globe this February, steering the inaugural edition of Siridhamma International Model United Nations toward excellence.
Secretary-General
Manjithe Senanayake is an alumnus of Siridhamma College, Galle, and the former President of its Model United Nations Club. During his tenure, he led a period of revival and innovation, initiating projects that reshaped the club’s trajectory. A published writer and debater, Manjithe has represented his school at national and international platforms. He is currently pursuing his GCE Advanced Levels at Ananda College, Colombo, while serving as the Interim Advisor to the Model United Nations Club of Siridhamma College. SDIMUN 2026 marks his return to build a conference rooted in purpose, clarity, and meaningful dialogue.
Deputy Secretary-General
Minsandi Chanulya is an alumna of Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Galle, and an incoming International Relations undergraduate at Tokyo International University. A seasoned MUNer, she brings strong academic grounding and extensive conference experience to the Secretariat. She is currently working as the Delegate Mentor of the Model United Nations Club of Siridhamma College. As Deputy Secretary-General, she oversees the academic framework of SDIMUN 2026, ensuring committees are well-structured, engaging, and intellectually rigorous.
Under-Secretary-General for Conference Operations
Sahas Karunaratne is an alumnus of Daybridge International School and currently a GCE Advanced Level student at Ananda College, Colombo, where he continues to engage actively in academics and global affairs. With a keen eye for detail and a practical approach to problem-solving, Sahas oversees conference operations of SDIMUN 2026. He plays a central role in shaping the flow of the conference, ensuring that both planning and execution remain seamless.
Under-Secretary-General for Finance and Outreach
Kusalya Senanayake is an undergraduate specializing in Business Data Analytics, with experience spanning project management, finance, and technology-driven initiatives. With a strong interest in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, she has worked on projects that bridge data, operations, and outreach. As Under-Secretary-General for Finance and Outreach, Kusalya oversees budgeting, sponsorship coordination, and external relations for SDIMUN 2026, ensuring the conference remains financially sustainable while expanding its reach and impact.
Under-Secretary-General for Creative Affairs
Manji Liyanarachchin is an alumnus of Rahula College and currently an undergraduate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna. Having represented at both national and international conferences, he brings a broad perspective and strong communicative ability to the Secretariat. A public speaker and media personality, he contributes creativity and a keen sense of outreach to the team. As Under-Secretary-General of Creative Affairs, he leads the creative direction of SDIMUN 2026, overseeing media, branding, and content to ensure a cohesive and engaging conference experience.
Innovation and Technology
Semika Anusara is a seasoned MUNer and a student at Richmond College, demonstrating expertise in digital strategy and systems design. As the Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Innovation and Public Information, Semika is responsible for leading the development of SDIMUN’s digital delegate experience, including the architecture and deployment of the conference portal. His focus is dedicated to blending structured diplomacy with modern technological tools to deliver a simulation that is fully aligned with global MUN standards.
Information Technical
Shanuka Pramuditha is an alumnus of Siridhamma College and a student at the Informatics Institute of Technology, Sri Lanka. Actively involved in freelance and entrepreneurial tech projects, he brings strong technical expertise to the Secretariat. As USG for Technology, Shanuka is responsible for the conference’s digital infrastructure. From platforms to performance, his role ensures SDIMUN 2026 runs smoothly in a fully online environment.
Head of Marketing
Milindu Mahagamage is a published writer and poet with a strong interest in communications and branding. As the founder of his own publishing initiative, he brings practical experience in audience engagement, content positioning, and outreach strategy. With an academic background in business and marketing-related studies, he contributes a structured and strategic approach to publicity. As Head of Marketing, he is responsible for shaping SDIMUN 2026’s outreach strategy, overseeing promotional efforts, and ensuring the conference effectively reaches and engages its target audience.
Head of Admin Staff
Thavindu Muthumala is a student of D.S. Senanayake College, currently pursuing his Advanced Level studies. He has served as a trainer for the United Nations Security Council and UNCAC at DSSCMUN, in addition to holding the position of Under-Secretary-General (Head of Logistics) for the conference. With experience in operations and administrative coordination, he brings reliability and organisational discipline to the team. As Head of Administrative Staff, he oversees internal coordination and administrative support, contributing to the smooth functioning of SDIMUN 2026.
Head of Technological Affairs
Iran Abhishek is an alumnus of Siridhamma College and the former Vice President of Public Relations of its MUN Club. He currently serves as the Interim Creative Consultant of MUNatSDCG while pursuing his GCE Advanced Levels. Overseeing technological operations at SDIMUN, Iran brings personality and precision to the conference’s public face. From visuals to campaigns (including SDIMUN’s Memethon), his work ensures the conference remains seemless—without taking itself too seriously.
